  • All fourth grade classes will be dismissed today through the elementary school's main entrance on Johnson Place at 3:15.  Parents/guardians are asked to stay off of the walkway/bridge so the students can safely exit the building.  All preschool, third and fifth grade classes will be dismissed from the side of the building.

Coach Nick Kruger and the Boys' and Girls' Cross Country Team displayed a wonderful act of sportsmanship.

The Varsity Boys' and Girls' Cross Country Teams opened up their seasons on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 with victories over Wardlaw Hartridge.  During the meet, a video was taken and then shared showing both our cross country teams cheering and rooting enthusiastically for a Wardlaw Hartridge runner who was clearly in the back of the race.  Even though the opponent’s runner was struggling at the end of the race, our athletes were rooting for her to finish as strong as she could.

Thank you to Coach Kruger and the Boys' and Girls' Cross Country Teams for displaying Ram Sportsmanship!

The South River Foundation for Educational Excellence welcomes everyone back for the 2016-2017 school year.  We are pleased to celebrate our first year with the awards of 4 mini-grants and scholarships for two 2016 SRHS graduates in June.

This year we welcome the addition of student representatives and have two fundraisers for the start of the 2016-2017 school year.  The Apple of My Eye Contest and the South River Football Legends Raffle will both begin September 8, 2016.

The Apple of My Eye Contest:  There will be "Apples" (appliqués) available to be purchased ($1.00 ea) and personalized for the students. Parents, Grandparents, other relatives and friends are encouraged to purchase at least one "Apple" for their student. They will be placed on their desks for them to see the following morning. The student with the most "Apples" wins the contest for that school. Winners will be recognized at televised October BOE meeting.

The South River Football Legends Raffle:  Autographed sports memorabilia donated by our very own Drew Pearson (Dallas Cowboys) and Joe Theismann (Washington Redskins) will be raffled off.  Drawing is on Homecoming Saturday, October 22, 2016 where Drew Pearson will be in attendance. Good luck to our South River Rams!!  For more info email or like us on Facebook.

Both fundraisers will be available at all South River School District Back To School Nights.  Raffle tickets will also be available at all Home SRHS and Pop Warner Football Games. Good luck to all!
