Message from the Superintendent

Welcome back to school.  It is my hope that the summer vacation has energized all of you to greet the challenges of a new school year.  Through teamwork, cooperation, and collaboration, I am confident that we will have a productive and successful year.  Our challenge is to adequately prepare our students to assume productive roles that keep America strong.  To be successful, we will need to continue our efforts to develop and maintain student interest and enthusiasm for challenging subjects and concepts.  We must, together forge a partnership between school and the home to assure that our students achieve success in life as well as in school.

South River has always had a winning tradition, and I am confident that with a strong work ethic from our students, this winning tradition will carry into our classrooms and schools.  With the encouragement and motivation of teachers, administrators, parents and guardians, all of our students can perform to a high standard, to which we will all be proud.  Toward that end, I encourage all of our students to remember these messages throughout the school year:  School is important.  You can do it.  We will not give up on you; do not give up on yourself. So, let's all work together, as a productive educational community to continually improve the quality of South River Public Schools.  I wish you an enjoyable and productive school year.

Sincerely,

Ronald C. Grygo, Superintendent of Schools
