Mission & Philosophy

About Us

The primary mission of the South River School District is to coordinate the available resources of home, school, and community in a mutual effort to guide every pupil’s growth towards becoming a self-respecting individual who can effectively function politically, economically, and socially in a democratic society. We will strive to help students learn to use their minds well, so that they will be prepared for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment in our modern economy.

USE OF DENNY STADIUM

SPECTATORS

Bleachers
Five sets of bleachers will be in place for spectators.

  • Bleachers for the South River fans will be placed in close proximity to each other starting at approximately the 40 yard line and moving toward the 20 yard line.
  • Bleachers will be set in place for the visiting team fans. These bleachers will start on the opposite 40 yard line and move towards the 20 yard line.

Placing both sets of bleachers in this manner will allow for a 20 yard buffer between the home and visiting teams. This will minimize any negative interactions between the fan groups.

  • Non-Handicapped spectators will have one way to enter the facility - the entrance off Montgomery Street, near the Board of Education main building. Ticket booth will be located by the walkway. This will allow direct access to both the home and away bleachers.
  • Handicapped spectators will be directed to park in the Denny Stadium/Primary School parking lot. This is a short distance to the shaded area where the benches are located. A valid handicapped vehicle placard needs to be displayed to be allowed to park in the designated handicapped lot.

FACILITIES

  • All gates along Johnson Place will be locked on gameday, and unlocked as needed afterwards.
  • The ticket booth will be at the Montgomery Street entrance.
  • Denny Stadium restrooms will be closed.
  • Four portable toilets (including a handicap accessible portable toilet) will be available near the spectator bleachers.
  • Chairs will be available for handicapped seating area (corner of track by park benches).
  • The concession stand is open for regular operations.

SECURITY

  • Security Officers will be present throughout the facility.
  • Medical Emergencies: E.M.S. will be staffed on site as available, and will respond to any medical condition or emergency that occurs during the game. Additionally, S.R.P.D. officers can also respond to a medical situation when needed.
    • Medical doctor to be on site during the game.
    • Athletic Trainer to be on site during the game.
    • AED to be on site during the game.
